What ABEC rating are Armored bearings?
We commonly joke that Armored bearings are "rated eleventeen" on the ABEC scale to poke fun/shed light on the limited value the ABEC scale provides.
  • It is a common misconception that the higher ABECs are better for skateboarding, blading, scooter riding, etc. as the ABEC rating only measures tolerances.
  • The ABEC rating does not determine how fast or how durable a bearing used for action sports will be.
  • The ABEC rating says nothing about how well a bearing handles axial (side-to-side) loads.

Do Armored bearings require maintenance?
No. Armored bearings are built to last! They come pre-lubricated and are sealed tight! No need to spend your money on any type of cream. Save that money and buy more bearings! Brand new bearings are better then cleaned bearings.
